Consultation on proposals to consolidate and modernise the legislative controls for Acetylene

The consolidation will update the current legislative arrangements for acetylene making them easier to understand. The consultation period began on 30 July and will end on 24 September 2013.

The work detailed in this report aimed to assess the performance and test the reliability of two types of commercially available systems that measure earplug attenuation for individual wearers. Both systems investigated were found to have benefits and limitations; a number of recommendations are presented.
